The 2010 Women in Business Achievement Awards are designed to celebrate women who have been successful in their business and careers, have made a significant impact on the business community and local economy and have served as mentors and examples to others.
 
A panel of judges will review the nominations to select the women, who will be profiled in a special issue of Inside Business. The women will also be honored at a luncheon on Dec. 13. Deadline for nominations is 5 p.m. Sept. 28.

I. Professional and entrepreneurial accomplishments
Please list the notable achievements the nominee has made within her company, industry and the economic region. Specify jobs with significant responsibilities. List any important designations, accolades, degrees or licenses of significant value: (Remember our judges will appreciate brevity.)
 
II. Power and influence
Explain the nominee’s impact within her industry in terms of personal and professional growth and in her role as a key decision-maker and advocate for women in the workplace. Include professional growth, innovations she has devised, problems solved and how she did it.
 
III. Business community involvement
Describe the nominee’s involvement in the community. Include business organizations, service as mentor to other businesswomen and leadership roles in the community.
 
IV. Other reasons you believe she is deserving of this honor
Explain for our judges why you think the nominee should be recognized. Mention any adversity or obstacles she has had to overcome and how she did it. If you think it’s relevant to the award, provide information about the nominee’s ethnic background, age or other information you think the judges should know:
