John Boles has been named special agent in charge of the FBI's Norfolk Division.
He most recently was a special assistant to the National Security Branch executive assistant director and section chief of the NSB Executive Staff Section.
He became a special agent in 1995 assigned to the Sacramento Division working criminal violations including fugitives, white collar, cyber, violent crimes, narcotics, terrorism and crimes against children. He also was a sniper team leader and special weapons and tactics operator.
