The accounting firm of Dixon Hughes Goodman announced the following promotions in its Hampton Roads offices:

• Bryan Campbell, CPA, MBA, was promoted to senior manager. Campbell has eight years of experience performing audit, review and tax engagements in the government contracting, construction and manufacturing industries. Campbell received an MBA from Old Dominion University and a bachelor’s from the University of Mary Washington.

Adam McElhaney has joined Clark Nexsen as a mechanical engineer in training. He has three years of HVAC design, plumbing design and construction administration experience, having worked on K-12, higher education, science-technology and health care facilities.

McElhaney is a member of ASHRAE, a professional organization focused on sustainable technology for building environments. He has a bachelor's in mechanical engineering from the University of Virginia.

Gloria Harrison has been named by the Franklin Johnston Group as business manager in the company's corporate offices.

Harrison is a founding member of the Franklin Johnston Group, developer and manager of multifamily rental residences. She has more than 25 years of experience in the multifamily industry, including 15 years as a property manager. Previously, she served in the development division of a large commercial real estate organization.

Harry Lester was elected president by the board of the Slover Library Foundation. Lester will oversee the library, a $65 million project in downtown Norfolk, slated to open in January.

The foundation is a nonprofit organization formed to manage the funds raised in support of the library.
