Kinks, Quirks & Caffeine has closed after 13 years of business in Williamsburg and a prolonged struggle to negotiate a buyout with the landlord.

Recently, IB covered store owner Jennifer Raines' experience being tied to her lease next to the Colony Square Shopping Center anchor, Fresh Market.

The grocery store plans to move Oct. 1, 2011.

Kinks is an eclectic gift and American handcrafts store, which sold local artists' work at its 1303 Jamestown Road location.

In an e-mailed letter to customers, friends and artists, Raines wrote that she is "hoping to find a more suitable location" where she can re-open and continue selling.
