Did you know the face of Alzheimer’s disease is changing? Recently, people in their 30s have been diagnosed with this debilitating disease. Experts estimate that some 500,000 people in their 30s, 40s and 50s have Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia in the US. The Lead Hampton Roads Class of 2010 is working with the Alzheimer’s Association of Southeastern Virginia to create a Young Adults for Alzheimer’s Awareness group (YAAA! of Hampton Roads).
