Wendy is widely recognized for her Olympic and world record-setting accomplishments in swimming, including winning both a gold and a bronze medal in 1976. In 1976, before her team won the only American swimming Gold Medal against the East German women’s team, Wendy’s father became ill. Visiting nursing facilities at that time, Wendy realized that no one should allow their future to happen by accident. Throughout a distinguished 30 year speaking career, Wendy has educated people about the necessity of preparing for their long term care.
