Entrepreneurial Excellence 2013

Nine individuals are being honored this year – the sixth year for this event – for their entrepreneurial success, the jobs they’ve created and the boost they’ve given to the Hampton Roads economy. Several have come from military backgrounds, but we singled out one for special recognition with a new Military Veteran Entrepreneur Award. A special thanks to Regent University’s School of Business and Leadership, our partner for this event, and our judges: A. Gregory Stone, Ph.D., associate professor of marketing, Regent University; Al Moore, president of Marathon Consulting LLC; Barbara Smith, partner in Cherry Bekaert LLP; Joel Nied, attorney with LeClairRyan; and Jerry Robertson, associate vice president and executive director of the ODU Business Gateway.
